Ten years ago we launched Shorty Tang & Sons at Smorgasburg in Williamasburg to revive my grandfather’s famous cold sesame noodles. In launching we were able to provide a nostalgic dish to past clients of my grandfather, while simultaneously exposing a new generation to a cult classic.
As locality becomes a pressing trend within the industry it is my desire to embody the locavore mentality and showcase Chinese-American cuisine in a different light. Providing a mix of exotic and familiar flavors with native ingredients produced in NJ and country wide.
